Linda Clement is passionate about increasing the retirement readiness of business owners and their employees and brightening the opportunity for their financial future. Specializing in small to mid-sized plan administration matters, Linda works closely with plan sponsors to design retirement plans that meet their objectives and to administer them successfully and seamlessly. Employers sponsoring or wishing to sponsor a qualified retirement plan seek her expertise with creating greater tax-efficiency, promoting disciplined savings opportunities and offering a robust benefit to employees. Linda has access to a full-suite of services that will bring confidence to plan sponsors and ensure that clients are operating a legislatively current and administratively compliant plan. With more than 20 years of experience in the retirement administration industry, Linda is well-versed in retirement plan design and administration. Linda is an outgoing person who enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dogs. She has a wide range of interests, including traveling, photography, golfing, music and making memories. She is working toward her dream of retirement by learning how to golf and planning to travel to golf links in warm places. Linda also volunteers her time and leadership skills to local organizations involved with breast cancer, multiple sclerosis, dog rescues and families in need.

 

Kim SomervilleKim Somerville is a Retirement Plan Analyst and has been in the financial services industry since 1999. She spent 18½ years at
DST Retirement Solutions before happily joining Hills Pension Associates in September of 2017.

Kim started her career at DST Retirement Solutions working on the 401k operations team processing transactions for 3 years.
She was promoted and spent 12 years as a Senior Retirement Plan Account Manager in the retirement plan industry working
on daily plan administration, reporting testing and 5500’s. She spent her last 3 years working as a conversion analyst bringing
aboard new plans.  She graduated with an AS from Bay State College. Through ASPPA courses she has attained thorough
knowledge of ERISA, IRS & DOL regulations.

Kim is responsible for:

  • Maintaining client relationships and support, by corresponding with clients on a regular basis to ensure all clients are receiving feedback and resolution on inquires on a daily basis
  • Providing 3(16) services, such as reviewing and approving distribution, loans.  Filing of Form 5500 and submitting contributions
  • Intake of all new Plans, oversee assets conversions and investment platform setup
  • Reconciles trust accounts
  • Verifies data accuracy provided by other providers, payroll services, record keepers, investment firms, etc.
  • Reviews census data and eligibility
  • Annual data year end cleanup which includes:
    • Forced out distributions
    • Vesting updates at Fund House, if required
    • Follow up on forfeitures on being allocated or used from previous year
    • Any source changes that needed to occur and confirmed

Kim enjoys spending time with her family and is a volunteer coach for youth basketball and softball. Kim and her family reside in Whitman, Ma.

 

Lori WalshLori Walsh is an experienced Retirement Plan Specialist who joined HPA in June 2017. Prior to joining HPA, Lori worked as a Senior Compliance Specialist for Prudential in  Hartford CT. With over 25 years in the industry, she has technical knowledge of  experience with ERISA and retirement plan administration including, compliance  and reporting. She graduated from St. Joseph’s College with a BS in Business  Administration. Lori enjoys spending time outdoors gardening and kayaking. She is involved with her church helping serve meals to the homeless.

Lori is responsible for:

  • Service clients by responding to client inquiries with both written and verbal communications, research problems, conduct follow-up, etc.
  • Work closely with in-house Retirement Analyst on questions regarding documents, notices, distribution and loan issues.
  • Completion of Annual Valuation Reports which includes:
  • Verify data accuracy provided by other providers: payroll services, record keepers, investment firms, etc.
    • Answer questions from plan sponsors regarding plan design, eligibility, contributions, testing, vesting, and other aspects of plan operation
    • Trust Accounting and asset reconciliation
    • Calculate annual employer contribution calculations / true-ups
    • Annual nondiscrimination suite of compliance tests (i.e. ADP/ACP, 415, Top-Heavy, 402(g), 410(b) Coverage Test etc.). Consult clients on compliance failure correction strategies, as needed
    • Preparation signature ready Form 5500’s and related forms and or schedules
